The Hycity® full hydrogen zero-emission vehicle offers transport authorities the opportunity to move away from fossil fuels. The Hycity® benefits from a complete overhaul of its interior and exterior design and the very latest technological advances based on feedback from its predecessor, the Businova®. The 12-metre vehicle (an 18-metre version is planned for 2023) is available as a 2-door or 3-door tramway with a full flat floor.
The Hycity® incorporates a 2x125 kW powered axle, a 45 kW Symbio fuel cell with a power output of less than 30 kW, to extend its lifespan, and a 130 kWh NMC battery, all supplied with hydrogen from 6 type 4 tanks that can store 35 kg of hydrogen on the roof. The battery is only used for power peaks, while the fuel cell works at a constant power level. The Hycity® full H2 therefore uses only hydrogen as traction energy, and recharges its battery autonomously, with no need for recharging infrastructure. The hydrogen line has been optimised by significantly reducing the length of its circuit in order to improve the vehicle's TCO and guarantee its safety and maintainability.
