The 100% electric bus manufacturer and the Spanish minibus specialist have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), at the end of which INDCAR will become the exclusive distributor of the Bluebus 6 m in Spain and Italy.
Bluebus, the manufacturer of 100% electric buses and part of the Bolloré Group, has commenced negotiations with INDCAR to grant exclusive rights to distribute its Bluebus 6 m in Spain and Italy. As such, the two companies have signed an MOU.
INDCAR will provide its knowledge of both markets, its technical expertise, and its vast experience in marketing and maintaining this category of vehicle. The company will provide customer care and after-sales service, as well as customizing vehicles at its Arbúcies plant to meet the specifications and customer requirements.
The Bluebus 6 m has been designed for easy driving on narrow city streets that are difficult for conventional buses to access. It is also a suitable and effective solution for serving suburban areas with low passenger density and short trips. It can carry up to 35 passengersand boasts smooth handling thanks to its small size (5.94 m x 2.21 m x 2.94 m).
A sustainable alternative for urban public transport, this 100% electric vehicle has a 98% recyclable ferritic stainless-steel structure, produced in a plant with IS0 9001 & ISO 14001 certification. With a range of over 280 km, the Bluebus 6 m has an on-board power capacity of over 120 kWh. It also features an on-board charger that handles a maximum of 22 kW AC power, with the ability to fully charge in just 6.5 hours.
This agreement in principle between Bluebus and INDCAR will enable the two companies to pool their expertise, combining Bluebus's technology and expertise in manufacturing electric buses with INDCAR's experience in the urban minibus segment.
"This agreement with INDCAR continues the roll-out of the Bluebus 6 m in Southern Europe, with a distribution offer in Spain and Italy to add to Greece. The road map we have set ourselves is ambitious, and we intend to reinforce the success of a vehicle perfectly suited to urban e-mobility now and in the future."
Richard Bouveret, CEO & Chairman of Bluebus
"This agreement with Bluebus is another step in INDCAR's strategy to develop innovative solutions and move toward fully electric, zero-emission products."
