New version of the Grammer MSG 90.7:
Driver seat with updates for comfort and health maintenance
- Modern workplace with many equipment options for bus manufacturers
- Designed according to current ergonomic findings
- Updates: mobilization function for pelvis and spine and improved controls
Grammer AG, October 06, 2023 – Compactly built, smartly designed, top ergonomic and new with updates for comfort and ergonomics: the MSG 90.7 is a modern series seat solution for buses. At Busworld 2023, Grammer will show for the first time the version that has been further developed based on customer feedback, with improved controls in a new design and an MPS function (Mobilization Pelvis Spine) that mobilizes the pelvis and spine. These updates offer a significant comfort plus, contribute to maintaining the bus driver's back health and keep him fit even during long periods of sitting.
“The MSG 90.7 is a state-of-the-art workstation for bus drivers, which we have further improved for the current version,” says Thomas Schleuchardt, President Division Commercial Vehicles at Grammer AG. “The two new features presented at Busworld provide bus drivers with practical support in their strenuous day-to-day work. While the new controls make it easier to adjust the seat, the MPS function keeps the pelvis and spine in motion, thus relieving strain on the back.”
In addition, the driver seat, which is designed according to the latest ergonomic findings, has other features that enable professionals in bus transport to drive with low fatigue and undisturbed concentration. These include, for example, a backrest that is divided in the shoulder area and can be adjusted to adapt shoulder and neck support as well as headrest spacing. A noticeable plus in terms of optimum seat belt comfort is the new seat belt height adjustment in several detent levels. Improved seat occupancy detection and optimized haptic warning systems in the seat cushion for early detection of hazardous situations ensure greater safety, while a modified damping unit increases service life. The rear of the backrest contributes to more flexible usage of the cabin living space with a stable cover solution that is resistant to scratches and complies with the latest fire protection standard.
At its booth at Busworld 2023, Grammer will show its driver seat in an equipment version for city buses and coaches. For individual series applications, Grammer offers its OEM customers in the bus segment many additional equipment options with the MSG modular system, such as armrests, seat heating, air conditioning, pneumatic lumbar support, longitudinal horizontal suspension, or side contour adaptation.
